Hi!
I'm Taylor Laine
As the Senior Developer, AI & Data Platforms at Part and Sum, I architect and build the technical systems that power our data, analytics, and AI capabilities, turning complex infrastructure into tools our teams and clients can actually use.
About Taylor
Over the course of 10+ years, Taylor has designed and shipped software across startups, agencies, and Fortune 50 enterprises, spanning industries from space and defense to renewable energy, creative, and financial services. He brings a systems-first mindset to everything he touches, whether that's standing up a new platform from scratch or untangling something that's been holding a team back for years.
Taylor is at his best when he's turning ambiguity into architecture. He thrives in greenfield environments where the roadmap doesn't exist yet, combining strategic thinking with hands-on engineering to take products from concept to delivery. He has a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, and brings a rare ability to operate across the full stack of a problem, from system design to team structure to execution. Some of the work he's most proud of includes building the teams and systems behind a space technology company's growth from start up to IPO, and co-founding a data-driven technology company from the ground up.
Here at Part and Sum we bolt on to transform digital experiences and grow brands by seeing through the eyes of your customer.
Taylor's POV on AI & Data Platforms:
"Here at Part and Sum we bolt on to transform digital experiences and grow brands by seeing through the eyes of your customer.
To me, bolting on means showing up as if you've always been there. The best collaboration doesn't feel like an external team plugged in, it feels like a natural extension. That starts with listening, understanding how a client's systems actually work, and meeting them where they are instead of prescribing a playbook.
When it comes to transforming digital experiences, I think the most impactful work happens in the infrastructure people don't see. Clean data pipelines, well-designed platforms, and intelligent tooling are what make it possible to act on customer insights in real time rather than in hindsight. The transformation isn't the dashboard or the AI model, it's the clarity those things unlock for the people making decisions.
Seeing through a customer's eyes is everything. Brands that build from the outside in, starting with what a person actually experiences, make better products, better content, and better decisions. Data and AI should serve that perspective, not replace it. The goal is always to get closer to the truth of what people need, and then build systems that help teams respond to it."

When we're not collaborating...

  • I'm a runner, currently training for the Denver Colfax marathon and chasing long-term dreams of Boston and New York.
  • I'm a builder at heart. My brain doesn't really have an off switch, and I'm always tinkering with something, whether it's work or a personal project that feels like work but I love it anyway.
  • I love exploring Denver's food scene and spending time with friends whenever I manage to step away from the keyboard.
